Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the conditions for participating in the rankings of WebGameJp (the "Service"). The Service is a platform where users can share games and compete in rankings.

Article 2 (Definitions)

1. "User" means an individual or legal entity that registers for and uses the Service.
2. "Game" means game information (title, URL, description, etc.) registered with the Service by a User.
3. "Publish" means to list game information in the rankings so that it is accessible to other Users.

Article 3 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users shall not engage in any of the following:

1. Publishing content that infringes the copyrights, trademark rights, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
2. Publishing content that violates laws and regulations or public order and morals
3. Publishing content for the purpose of deceiving others
4. Manipulating vote counts or click counts by improper means

Article 4 (Removal of Content)

1. The Service may remove game information without prior notice in the following cases:
   • Where it reasonably determines that the information infringes the rights of a third party
   • Where it determines that the information violates laws and regulations or public order and morals
   • Where it otherwise determines that removal is necessary for the operation of the Service

Article 5 (Claims of Infringement)

1. A rights holder who believes that content posted on the Service infringes their rights may submit a claim through the contact form.
2. Upon receiving a claim, the Service will respond appropriately in accordance with the Act on Measures Against Rights Infringement, etc. Arising from Distribution of Information by Specified Telecommunications (the Information Distribution Platform Act).

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

1. If a dispute arises with a third party as a result of a User's violation of these Terms, that User shall resolve the dispute at their own expense and responsibility.
2. The Service makes no warranty as to the legality of content published by Users.

Article 7 (Games Hosted on External Sites)

1. When a User registers the URL of an external site to participate in the rankings, the copyright in that game remains with the User (or the legitimate rights holder) and does not change. The Service does not change the license of any game hosted on an external site in any way.
2. By registering a game, the User grants the Service permission, to the extent necessary to introduce the game and display it in the rankings, to display the registered title and description and to create and display thumbnail images (screenshots) of the game screen.
3. The permission in the preceding paragraph is neither a change of license nor a transfer of rights, and the User may terminate it at any time with prospective effect by unregistering the game.

Article 8 (Changes to These Terms)

1. The Service may change these Terms as necessary.
2. The revised Terms shall take effect when posted on the Service.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
2. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute relating to these Terms.
